Agape Education Center for Young Girls

Those who hope in the lord will renew their strength
Isaiah 40:31

Our Purpose

In our 4 years of ministry in Pakistan, we came across so many young women and girls who shared their stories of abuse and trauma with us. They were forced into slavery due to being a burden on their family and society, but still held a strong desire to study in order to obtain skills and add value to their lives. These girls carry so much shame and traumatic insecurities, and unfortunately many try to harm themselves.

Our purpose for opening this center is to empower those that are in these situations to pursue their desire to study, with the hope that less young woman will lose their lives due to the shame and abuse that so many experience.

Next Steps

  • Encourage these girls to step out and come to the center for quality education

Stories

Sybil

At 16 years old and with 6 younger siblings, Sybil has never been to school. Her parents want her to marry an older man and have been eager to get rid of her. By attending this center, it will help her to restore her life and ultimately allow her to help her younger siblings to study as well.

Rubina

As a 45 year old woman, Rubina was the first one to register for the class at the Agape Education Center. She said she wants to learn how to read and write so she can read her own Bible.

Joyce

Joyce is a 15 year girl who was never sent to school because she is a girl and is considered a burden. She was sold out as a slave for years by her drug addict father for a small loan where she was also sexually abused. She has tried to commit suicide multiple times and lost hope for her life. When she heard about Agape it gave her a hope for freedom.
